Dr. Kevin  Riggs, O.D.

Dr. Riggs earned his degree in optometry from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1984 and has practiced optometry in California since then.
He opened Grossmont Vision Center Optometry in 1998, and is proud to have served the vision care needs of La Mesa since then. He takes great care to educate each of his patients about their eye health and vision needs, and to make the eye examination enjoyable and stress free.

In addition to prescribing glasses and contact lenses, Dr. Riggs treats eye problems such as allergies, dry eyes, conjunctivitis, and more. He also co-manages LASIK, cataract and retinal surgery with a local network of talented specialists.

​Dr. STEPHANIE CAO, O.D.

Dr. Cao earned her optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2022.
She joined Grossmont Vision Center Optometry in 2025. 
Dr. Cao is dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care to patients of all ages, and she takes pride in building long lasting relationships with all her patients.

Sarah has twenty-five years of experience in the vision care field make her the ideal person to help patients with frame styling, contact lens use, vision plan benefits, and much more.
Her knowledge of the latest in high technology lens materials is superb, and she has tremendous experience in all aspects of eye care delivery, including laser vision correction!

DEBBIE - Optician

Debbie has more than thirty years of experience as an optician. She's great at choosing the right frame for each patient! She is very knowledgeable in vision plan administration and can answer all your questions regarding benefits and coverage.
